Hmmm... should I claim these two goofballs as my family? Oh what the heck, I'll claim 'em! These girls get their pictures done every summer in their swimsuits and every Christmas in their PJs. Cute idea huh? I'm thinkin' I may have to steal it for my girlies.

Baby Love | fort worth newborn photographer
Heeeeee's here! Baby Love has arrived! He is 5 days old... so sweet, so little, and so new. I just love him. He was funny to photograph. He would fall asleep just long enough for us to pose him and get "the shot". Then he would wake up and fuss! A passy and a quick cuddle from mom or dad was all it took for him to get ready for the next shot. Mom and Dad have waited a long time for him. He is the true definition of a blessing.
Congratulations Jamie and Greg. I feel fortunate to be a part of capturing John Parker's milestones over the next year. Many memories to come!
XOXO~ Melissa

precious girl | dallas children's photographer
By now I feel like every mom should know about ETSY. It is the mecca of awesome handmade products. If you can think of something to buy, then you can find it on ETSY!! I am a self proclaimed ETSY junkie!!!
This particular session served a dual purpose. Not only was is it Miss K's 6 month session, but it was also a product shoot for Creative Kiwi. Donna, the creator of Creative Kiwi, specializes in photography products, hats and adorable booties! All of the hats from this session were designed by Donna. Cute stuff huh?!? Take a minute or 2 to check her out:

And for the shot that makes me laugh....... !!
Poor baby was done! But made for such a funny picture.

a blessed family | fort worth family photographer
I'm not sure where to start when I tell you about this family. Instead of telling you a long story, I am just going to describe them: blessed, amazing, loving, playful, close-knit, humble, caring, beautiful.... okay those words aren't even doing them justice. This family has been through more than I can imagine this year. They have held strong to their faith through everything. My goal for this shoot was not to just get good shots, but to capture the love that this family has for each other and to freeze these happy moments for them.
Lisa, your family is absolutely beautiful and you are an inspiration. XOXO- Melissa

Doc Band | Dallas Children's Photographer
"Flat Head Max" is my husband's nickname for my precious nephew, Max. This adorable monster is 5 months old and just received his Doc Band 2 weeks ago. His head already looks SO much better. My sister-in-law wants to submit these pictures to the Doc Band calendar that they put out every year. I personally think he deserves the cover!!!! Don't you? Doesn't he just make you smile?

CureSearch Walk | ft. worth family photographer
I want to introduce you to Blake. I had the pleasure of photographing Blake and his family a few weeks ago. Blake has a beautiful smile, a silly personality, loves chocolate ice cream, hates being cold, and has cancer. You would never know by his beautiful smile what he is going through. His battle is not over. He is constantly going to dr. appointments, going through test after test and receiving radiation.

Blake's mom, Georgia, is participating the The CureSearch Walk to raise fund for pediatric cancer. Cancer is bad enough and to add the word pediatric in front of it just makes it heartbreaking. PLEASE take a minute to go to Blake's link to help Georgia raise money for this great cause.
Once you go to the link, click on "My Team Page" to read Blake's story. Try putting yourself in this family's shoes. Being a mother, I simple cannot fathom!
Hang in there guys!!! Lots and lots of prayers are sent your way! XOXO- Melissa

glowing mama | Fort Worth Maternity Photographer
How beautiful is this mama?!? Our shoot was originally scheduled for outdoors, but due to a crazy change in weather we moved it inside. We have rescheduled our outdoor shoot for next weekend. But I love this impromptu session!!!! I don't think we could have planned it any better. Her daughter was awesome at just popping in when we called her, jumping in a few shots and then running off to go play. I am in LOVE with this first image. Isn't she just beautiful?!?! More to come of this cute belly next weekend....

out of towners | Grapevine Family Photographer
This session was a sort of reunion for me. I went to jr. high and high school with Alison and we haven't seen each other since we graduated. Now she has 2 super cute kids and I am about to have my second. Funny how we all have to grow up- ya know. I laughed so much during this shoot. Not at the kids, but at Alison. She had the most hilarious ways of trying to get her kids to look at the camera!!! I was in tears laughing when I got home and was thinking about her phrases. But with all of her hard effort, we finally got a few shots with Hunter looking at the camera! Miss Parker was full of smiles though and was a piece of cake to photograph. It was great seeing you Alison. Thank you for taking time out of your trip to Fort Worth to allow me to photograph your great family!!
